to our StampInkPaper Team Mother's Day Blog Hop. A blog hop is where
you 'hop' from blog to blog linked by the same theme, you may have
arrived here from Carolyn's blog, or just happened upon the tour by chance.
Our theme is of course Mother's Day. Each of our team members has made a
card using Stampin'Up! products.
Here is my creation - a card made with the Swallowtail background stamp. It''s got twoo layers, the image is stamped offset on the underneath layer of Whisper WHite, and then again onto a second piece. I've cut around it using an inner line, to make the layer smaller and popped it up with some dimensionals. I finished it off with a simple monochrome effect Basic Black base, and a rhinestone for some bling. This stamp set is great for all kinds of interesting effects, and is fantastic for watercolouring the embossed image.
When you have finished here, you can continue the hop through the link
at the end of this post to the next team member's creations.
Lost? Here's a list of links to all the participants so you can find your way again.
You'll find lots of great ideas as you hop through the chain of seven
different team members’ fantastic blogs. Why not add my blog to your
"follow" list, or subscribe to my newsletter for info about my upcoming

Well,I see I havn't posted since June 2011 - just not sure how to drive this thing. Have been asked to join in on a Stampin' Up! Blog hop for members of StampInkPaper, so just came in to see if my blog was still active! Looks like we're a go so I'm going to try!!!
We had a wonderful party in the Gawler Ranges over the weekend; it was freezing at night, but a trailer load of stumps made a huge difference. About 30 of us celebrated Trish's 120th with her (she had already had another 60th, so we figure we're just adding to her age), including two little fellas who made our weekend - what fun "boring" around the bush tracks on your bikes, collecting tadpoles, toasting marshmallows, telling yarns like a pro, and so-on - they had us in fits all weekend.
Just ordinary tasks for me today, then I must start on three birthday cards for the weekend - two more surprise parties - and another friend - a group of six of us always lunch together for birthdays, tell lots of silly stories, release a trillion endorphins, and generally recharge the batteries, I'm really looking forward to Lesley's birthday.
Jude will be there this year before her and Don head off to Newcastle to visit our mutual grandchildren, Rory, Teagan and Remi and their son Ben and our daughter Lisa - so glad they're going at last.
What have you got to look forward to this week?
Yay, it's Friday and we're off camping at Kolay Hut, in the beautiful Gawler Ranges National Park, this afternoon. Mick has Local Government Association Meeting at Wudinna today, so I just need to pack the car ( the camper is already hooked up)!
Enjoyed my bus run this morning - I drive the East Wudinna School Bus just in the mornings. Was reflecting how as we get closer to the term break, more and more of the children seem to succumb to colds, flus and virus', maybe the terms are just a little too long before they need a break. I do enjoy greeting each of the kids in the morning and trying to brighten their day to send them off happy to school - they probably think - what's she on about? - but it is rewarding.
My little dog Bella is walking around with her tail down this morning (she's a pure bred silky terrier and my best mate!) as she's seen the gear out ready for camping and knows she'll be home alone for a coupla days, even though Nigel, Nadine and Bodhi will check in on her and feed her and the farm dog, she knows - funny little thing.
I'm going to take the iPad camping and see if I can post from the back of beyond tomorrow, see you then.
Happy Thursday to you all, I had a bit of frustration yesterday, not being able to log in to the dashboard, but have sorted that out now, so can get on with getting on! Consequently none of the cooking got done; the oven is on - the ingredients are out - by tonight I will have cooked a huge Lemon Meringue Pie, Zucchini Cake, Carrot Cake, Pumpkin Soup and Eggplant Parmigana - all for our camping trip - can you tell I'm excited - havn't been camping for ages and we love it!
Got very excited late yesterday arvo, when Nigel, Nadine and Bodhi returned from their well earned holiday - Mick and I really missed them all, so I've had an extra Grandy fix again this morning.
I did complete the scrap book and card for Trish yesterday, but havn't worked out the photography part yet - so will post later.
Wow, what an interesting 12 hours I've had - all due to my inability to sign in to my new blog - I've tried to remain calm, un-concerned and level about it, but it has been a challenge. I'm not really sure how I came to this page, but wanted to post anyway, hopefully I will get sorted soon!
I had high hopes of completing a lot of cooking for Trish's 60th Birthday Bash this weekend, but havn't even started yet, not to worry, another day tomorrow. I'm going to complete the birthday card I'm making for her now, will see if I can photograph it and post a copy tomorrow - now there's a challenge! Did complete a scrapbook of our photos from our camping trip to Tieyon Pastoral Co to give her as an added extra for her birthday. Oh well, here goes, I'm almost too afraid to leave in case it takes me the same amount of time to get here again - wish me luck! xx
Hi! My name is Marilyn, I have followed a lot of blogs recently and feel really close to some of the girls who share their daily lives. I've decided to try and share my everyday world for several reasons - to keep me on track to making everyday worthy; to share with other people; to meet new friends; and to keep me on track!
